Sarah’s unflinching look at the bit of Uganda she knows best elicited a variety of emotional responses from our members. This was not exclusively a tourist’s view.
We did see wildlife and iconic gorillas, but we also saw real people in hard and hopeful circumstances, including some of the young folk she sponsors through education.
I can personally attest to the time she spends online every day dealing with their highs and lows. Fun fact: Retired Archbishop John Sentamu hails from the same area of southwest Uganda referred to.
Sarah’s no mean photographer and belongs to an old-established camera club, the City of London and Cripplegate Photographic Society (1899).
